Concept Colt / Comet Refillable Smoke Fluid Canisters

For use in the Colt and Colt Turbo model smoke machines.

The standard smoke fluid aerosol canisters for Colt 3 and Colt 4 machines are pre-pressurised in the factory, so have to be sent as such - pressurised, and therefore considered 'hazardous' to ship by air.

The standard pre-pressurised smoke fluid aerosols are certainly the easiest and most convenient way to use the machine. However, there are certain countries in the world where shipping pressurised aerosols are difficult - namely Australia and Middle Eastern countries.

To get round this, we introduce the refillable canister.
The refillable canister is filled by the user with authentic recommended smoke fluid from a 5 litre container, then pressurised with air from an air pump.

The 5 litre fluid container will refill the canister around 14 times.
A standard air pump can be used as long as it has an accurate pressure gauge. We offer two types of air pump - the stirrup pump and the shock pump.

The correct smoke fluid must always be used in the refillable canister to ensure safe, non-toxic, dry smoke.

At full output, each single canister will provide a total of approx. 15 minutes of smoke production in a 1.1kW COLT or approx. 8 minutes in a 2.2kW COLT TURBO.

You do not have to use a complete canister all at once. A feature of the refillable canister is that you can depressurised them of air to refill them even if they are part used. You may need to clean the aerosol thread of any black carbon before re-inserting if you haven't used it for a while.

Normally, you can expect to achieve around 25 or more uses out of the refillable canister. The thread of the refillable canister will eventually wear out and so the canister would require replacement.
