The unit uses a coiled vaporiser and a microprocessor control circuit with in-built safety features to prevent overheating. The specially formulated smoke fluid is contained in a container from where it is pumped into the vaporiser inside the control unit.

The system utilises a simple closing circuit to activate smoke production, making it easy to install with an alarm system.

A full 250ml tank should provide around 25 minutes of total smoke production. A charged 70Ah 12V battery will offer enough power for the unit to run, with sufficient smoke fluid available, for up to an hour.

This system is safe for use in commercial vehicles as well as vans, boats, caravans, sheds, workshops, etc.

We do not recommend positioning the unit to produce smoke within an occupied cab inside a vehicle.  There is always a possibility of a false alarm or accidental activation of the system, which would fill the cabin with smoke whilst the vehicle is being driven (potentially at speed or in crowded areas) and this could obviously cause an accident.  So instead we suggest its use for vehicle applications within compartments inside the vehicle, but not an occupied cabin.

The unit produces large volumes of dense smoke in a confined space, and if the vehicle is not vented of this smoke, it will settle on surfaces.  We are unable to know how well upholstery or leather seats would react with this potential smoke fluid residue.  The unit is designed for use in commercial vehicles to protect the contents of the vehicle, where the interior generally is not upholstered or leather and this potential deposition would not be an issue.
