Review of: Jem ZR33

I just purchased the Jem ZR33 Smoke machine, and I have never been more pleased. I purchased Martin Fog Fluid to go with my machine and I think it was the best choice. The ZR33 put out LOTS and LOTS of very dense very thick smoke. Common at 35,000+ cuft/min you can't compare.

What sold this machine to me was the price. The next best machine on the market goes for $2,700.00 (US) approx. for only about 5,000 cuft/min more output. if you look at it in those terms, buy a ZR33 and a cheap machine that puts out 5,000/min and you've got the same system for a fraction of the price.

This is a look into the machine's preformance. I have a barn style garage (30 ft ceiling, 40X30 floor). I fired this machine up for my brother's band who was practicing inside. I put the output on 1/4 output (level 3-4) and turned the timer on to 10 secs on, 10 secs off. I don't have the exact time but in about 5-8 minutes we could not see in the barn anymore. They had to stop band practice and open the garage door to air the place out. The funny part: We could not see where the button was for the garage door, in fact we could not see each other until we were 2 feet away.

This macine is an A+

Pros:
* Very High Volume Output
* Simple and effective controls
* DMX built in onboard
* Wired remote control via XLR cable
* Price
* Variable output

Cons:
* Have to wire your own plug to match your country.
* Smoke is VERY HOT when it exits so you need clear area in front of the machine.
* Heavy (I use a furniture dolly) but it is carryable.
* warranty is void when you do not use Martin fog juce.
