If printing, most multi-page manuals are intended to be printed as A5 size booklets, double side printed on A4 paper and folded/stapled down the middle to make the booklet. Although appalingly slow and bloated, Adobe Acrobat Reader gives you the "booklet" option in the print dialogue box that other PDF viewers do not seem to have. You need to save the PDF to your hard drive first, then open it in Acrobat Reader to print it as a booklet (it won't let you do it through a browser window as far as we know).
